Wrap a measuring tape, string, or paper around the widest part of your wrist.
Mark where the measuring tape meets.
Measure the length in mm or inches.
For a snug fit, add ¼ to ½ inch; for a comfortable fit, add ¾ to 1 inch; for a loose fit, add 1 to ¼ inch.

How much hair do I need?
Well as a rule of thumb for most braided hair bracelets we suggest you send us the longest section of hair from the tail. About a fingers width is more than enough for most items.
For rings and charms we can work with short lengths but always the longer the hair the easier it is to get a good braid.
Ideally more than 30cms for all items. If you are in any doubt then please email an image of your hair with something to reference the size to madefromhorseshoes@hotmail.co.uk
Will you wash the hair?
Yes we wash and treat all hair when it arrives with us. Please do not send wet or damp hair. It will start to rot in the post.
How long does it take?
Most items we will say 2 to 3 weeks turn around. We can work on a shorter time frame to meet a deadline like a birthday please contact us first to make sure we can meet these deadlines. Remember we make everything by hand so this takes time.
